Ottó Vincze (1964, Kisvárda, Hungary)

Munkácsy Prize-winning (State honour) visual artist, lives and works in Szentendre. From 1993 to 1996, he was a Derkovits scholar. In the late ‘90s, he worked and exhibited mostly in Germany and Switzerland.

He has been accorded numerous awards and international scholarships: 1996–1997 scholarship of Künstlerdorf Schöppingen; 1997 supported exhibitor at Art Cologne; 1999 Schleswig- Holsteinische Künstlerhaus scholarship and DAAD scholarship of Künstlerhauser Worpswede; 2003 Kunststiftung Stuttgart scholarship; 2009 scholarship of Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris; 2010 Victor Vasarely scholarship, Paris. His works can be found in numerous public and private collections. In 2010, his site-specific installation Cognitive Save was shown at Art Gallery of Paks. In 2011, the Hungarian Institute of Paris held a solo exhibition of his latest pieces.

His artworks can be found at the Ferenczy Museum, at the Jannus Pannonius Museum and at the permanent Modern Times exhibition of the Hungarian National Gallery.
